Before you start your application, please read carefully the information below.
The Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) has several eligibility criteria for applicants. Here are the key requirements:
- Age: Applicants must be between 20 and 35 years old at the time of application.
- Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents (for the U.S. program; other countries have similar programs through their embassies).
- Education: Applicants must have completed at least three years of university-level education by the start of the program.
- French Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate at least an intermediate level of French, equivalent to B1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This means you should be able to handle daily tasks and communicate effectively in French.
- English Proficiency: Applicants must be native English speakers
To apply in the TAPIF program, you must complete an application and pay the $149 application fee. Instructions for this payment will be sent by email after you have submitted your application.
